Jens Frickel recently joined Rejuvenate Biomed as Computational Biologist. Prior to joining Rejuvenate Biomed, Jens gained a broad experience in molecular- and computational biology while conducting interdisciplinary scientific research. He holds a PhD degree in evolutionary biology from the Max-Planck-Institute for evolutionary biology (Germany), where he studied host-virus interactions. Afterwards, he joined the VIB-KULeuven lab for systems biology as a postdoctoral researcher. Here, he conducted data-driven research by combining high-throughput experimental work using yeast, and computational approaches to study the molecular and genetic basis of traits.
