Jens Frickel, PhD

Lead Computational Biologist

Dr Jens Frickel leads the computational biology efforts at Rejuvenate Biomed. He employs computational and bioinformatics techniques to analyze a wide range of biological data, including multi-omics and high-throughput assay datasets. Jens develops and applies computational and statistical methods to interpret complex biological processes integral to our research. Additionally, he contributes to our in silico AI drug discovery platform, ensuring seamless data integration. Jens is pivotal in merging biological and informatics approaches, advancing data-driven research.

Jens holds a PhD in evolutionary biology from the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Biology (Germany), where he investigated host-virus interactions. He further expanded his expertise as a postdoctoral researcher at the VIB-KULeuven lab for systems biology, combining high-throughput experimental work with computational approaches to study the molecular and genetic basis of phenotypic traits.
