Nick Smisdom, PhD is Senior DevOps Engineer and Data Architect at Rejuvenate Biomed. He is responsible for the design and implementation of performant and scalable data solutions to support our cloud native and data-intensive research. 

Nick has a proven track record in managing large data volumes and integrating diverse datasets within scientific settings. Uniquely, he is specialized in laboratory information systems and automated data processing and has, among other projects, fulfilled a VLAIO innovation mandate in collaboration with ESAT (KU Leuven) focusing on data integration and data accessibility in precision medicine. His expertise enables Rejuvenate Biomed’s aim of advancing drug discovery through high-throughput biology and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, Nick's dedication to data integrity and governance aligns seamlessly with Rejuvenate Biomed’s commitment to the highest standards of quality and compliance in all aspects of its operations. 

Nick holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Hasselt University.
